FeedPaper

Feed Your Androids Wallpaper With Information

Feedpaper 0.3.0 released

Version 0.3 is a very special release. It is the first one to hit the Android Market. I'm very excited about the feedback (also a bit scared of issues on devices I did not test with).

This release should deliver most of these features I considered absolute must-be for decent usability, such as background, basic separate settings for lock screen and reworked RSS configuration. You can find more complete list of new features on download page, but if you are new to FeedPaper (which you probably are), head on to About.

I'll be happy for any constructive feedback, so go now and express youself :)

FeedPaper 0.2.0 released

This should be more stable version I would like to distribute amongst wider audience, to get more feedback.

  • Data transfer overview in preferences to check how much data RSS event provider burns,
  • more stable RSS provider,
  • English and Czech localizations,
  • a simple welcome message when no event provider is selected,
  • a simple option to hide past callendar events,
  • fixed a bug with SMS receiver crashing when FeedPaper is no longer active
  • a bit nicer

Go ahead and give it a try! :)

If you think this application is a good idea, but you miss some feature - check out Planned Features. Priority no. 1 for the next release would be RSS, because current setup is real pain for many reasons.

FeedPaper 0.1.0 released

5.. 4.. 3.. 1.. Offblast!

With the first version of FeedPaper you get

  • RSS Event source with configurable set of URLs
  • Calendar Event source with configurable set of calendars to use
  • SMS Event source with some basic settings

The core should be stable, running separate thread for each event provider and trying to stay updated and not waste resources at the same time. This will require more tuning in the future, but the settings should be fine for now.

Not much is configurable yet, really - first I have to make sure that FeedPaper works properly on different devices and get some initial feedback. But sure check out Planned Features to see what's comming!

So here we go.
